About
I am an archaeologist with research and lecturing specialisations in Mediterranean prehistory, and professional skills in British contract archaeology and heritage consultancy. Since 2006 I have been an associate lecturer in Aegean Archaeology at the University of Kent. Between 2005 and 2011, I also worked in British archaeology as a Senior Archaeologist for Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA), initially in the field and subsequently as a heritage consultant. I have been a Member of the Institute for Archaeologists (MIfA) since 2010.
In 2003, I co-founded the Forum for Island Research and Experience (http://www.fireislands.org ), an island cultures research group, and in 2006 I became a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Research into Island Cultures (http://www.shimajournal.org ). Over the last 10 years, I have supervised research-led excavations in Morocco, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus.
I am working on advancing my research in Mediterranean archaeology, especially island archaeology, including interdisciplinary approaches to understanding island cultures and identities, and on developing an international network of heritage consultancy, and would like to hear from people with similar interests.
